Goodbye 2009

You know when you are a kid and the older folks tell you how fast time goes and the years just fly by? I remember thinking, nah, that will never happen to me! Well here it is December 28th and there are only a few days left in the year of 2009! It just went by so fast it almost takes my breath away to think another year is over!

Honestly I have to say that 2009 was one of the best years I have ever had. I finished my massage school and took my state boards which is a huge weight off my shoulders! The horse business has been great this year, and only seems to be getting better! I have exactly what I have always wanted and that is a select few AWESOME and faithful clients who have stuck with me and always bring me some great horses to ride. I made a lot of new friends this past year doing the cowboy races, what a blast we had!! I got to ride a great horse all year (Velvet) and it was a great feeling knowing that I had made her into what she was and we did great things together this year! I made some awesome matches with horses and riders this year and met a lot of great people who bought horses and have kept in touch with me! There is nothing better to me than to match up a horse with a buyer and have that buyer contact you later and tell you how happy they are with that horse! 2009 has also been a great year from Zach and I, probably one of the best I can remember. To tell you the truth I think we have both done a lot of growing up this year and we couldn't be happier with eachother!

The new year:
As for 2010, all I can say is expect great things from Perfect Horse 4 U! Starting January 1st I will be doing more advertising than I ever have. I'm talking GRAND SCALE here!
I hope to have some great horses to ride this year. I am looking for the right project for some pleasure shows and of course I will be going to the ranch horse shows, cowboy races and hope do get back to some mounted shooting also!
Lonesome Hollow will be hosting another cowboy race sometime in June (I think), we haven't set a date yet, but check for that later on.
2010 will also see the start of my 2nd business as a massage therapist. I'm hoping to get started in my new office sometime in February! I'm very excited to get started at the new office and deal one on one with my clients!

To all those who made 2009 a great year, I can't thank you enough! I have some of the best friends/customers anyone could ever ask for!!

HAVE A VERY "DIVA" CHRISTMAS!!

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle All the Way!!!
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, well actually it is almost 2 AM so I guess TODAY is Christmas Eve!!!
Things are still crazy busy here and just added craziness with the holiday. Zach and I got our shopping done Tuesday and I got everything wrapped tonight. Got the horses rode today and they will be happy to have the next 2 days off for Christmas!
I'm amazed at the horse sales that have been happening lately. I have sold 4 horses in the last month right off the videos. Sierra was only on the internet 1 day before she sold. The good ones just sell sell sell I guess! I have lots of appointments lined up for next week to show horses to people so everyone must be excited to get started with new horse projects!
We are spending Christmas Eve at my parent's house where we are opening presents there in the afternoon and then the whole family will be there for supper. Christmas morning we are going to Zach's parents to open presents and then to my grandma's for dinner, then back to Zach's parents for supper. Lots of running around but I wouldn't have it any other way!
I think next week is going to be busy getting horses rode and showing horses to buyers. Looking forward to going to Zanesville with Dana on New Year's Day for the tack sale. It will be nice to get out a day and play!
Well it is late and I should get some rest so I'm prepared for all the running around the next 2 days!!
Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

1 week till Christmas

Mister - 9 year old gelding
It is hard for me to believe there is only one week until Christmas! What a busy time of year! I was up a good part of the night last night listing horses and then got the rest done today. What a chore! It's no wonder people pay ME to do this!! I love doing it, but it does take time that most people don't have!
Tomorrow I'm going to ride in the morning. Some guys are bringing in a few cows to sort. Tomorrow night Zach's parents have friends coming in from out of town so we will go there to see them. Then Sunday we will have Christmas at Zach's Aunt's house.
I love Christmas but it will be nice to get all the running around and craziness over with.

Anyway,...Please check out the website....many new horses listed as well as a new page for tack and trailers. Lately everyone I have talked to has a used saddle or this and that to sell so I figured I may as well make a page for that too!
New horses to check out:
Sierra and Mister - two very nice trail horses - www.perfecthorse4u.com/forsale

2 APHA coming 2 year olds and 2 coming yearlings - www.perfecthorse4u.com/weanlingsyearlings

Coming 2 year old AQHA halter gelding - www.perfecthorse4u.com/more4sale

4 horse 4-star trailer - www.perfecthorse4u.com/tack

Well that's all for now! Gotta get back to answering emails!

Is it Thursday already?

Geesh I swear the weeks are just blowing by me!! Guess that is what happens when you are so busy!! Had a great day yesterday with Dana and Gail. We went to Southerland Valley Western Store because they were having a sale and Dana wanted to see if they had any saddles she liked. Spent some time there and then stopped at Grizzle Ridge to see Mark and Kevin. Hassled Mark for awhile about needing to get his knee fixed and trying to get him to GIVE me his grey gelding that I love so much! After Christmas I'm going to go over and take pictures and video of his cutting horse and get it put on the internet for him. I bought some reins and a headstall that Mark had made. He makes the best stuff and it lasts forever!! I am always breaking reins cause the ones you buy in the store are so damn thin anymore. I don't believe I'll be breaking the ones he made me!!
Right now I'm getting ready to go ride the critters at the barn and then head north by Akron to take some pictures of horses up there for the website. I will have a full night of listing horses tonight!
Tomorrow is Zach's last day of school until after the first of the year. Maybe I will actually get to see my husband a little!! We are planning to go Christmas shopping on Monday.
Well that's all for now!

Angry with Mother Nature!!

Well my wonderful weekend plans were tarnished by mother nature!! I did end up going to the sale yesterday, but Dana could not go because she was having problems with water in the barn because of the cold. So I ended up going to the sale with Wayne and Atlee. We had fun and I picked up a few things that I needed. We watched the horses sell and it was a good time. Today was supposed to be the team sorting and I had a lot of people coming and I was so looking forward to it. Well we got freezing rain early this morning and I guess the roads were a mess so the sorting ended up getting canceled! YUCK!! So my day ended up being RUINED!! Damn winter!
I got Maggie the bay mare listed for sale. She is listed on the show horses page of the website.
http://www.perfecthorse4u.com/more4sale
Hopefully I will get pictures and video of the paint mare tomorrow, I think it is to be nice outside. She is riding really well. I may make a new video of Maggie also, she is riding really well but didn't look as good as she could in the video.
Friday night I got my Christmas cookies made. What an ordeal, I'm just glad it is over. We were icing cookies until 2 AM!!
Tomorrow I'm making buckeyes and fudge and then the cookie and candy making will be over!!
I also got a new gelding in on Friday. Gary brought him in. Hoping to get pictures and a video of him done in the next few days.
Well that is all for now...we will see what this week brings!
Until next time!

Excited for the weekend!

It's already Wednesday, time flies when you are busy! Yesterday I went to the barn early and got my horses rode and then headed to Dana's. Kevin came to trim horses and he did little Diva. She is the biggest puppy dog of a horse you would ever meet. It was nice to get over to Dana's since I haven't been there in so long. We went to supper and then came back and gabbed till late of course. Right now I'm getting ready to go to the barn. Need to get videos made of the new horses, will have to see if anyone is around to hold the camera for me! It is raining so I guess I won't get pictures taken today. Tomorrow I have to go get pictures and videos of some outside horses. Hopefully the weather is good.
I'm so excited for this weekend! Friday night I'm going to make Christmas cookies with my mother in law. Saturday is the Zanesville horse sale and Dana, Ray, Wayne and maybe Gary and I are going to nose around. Then Sunday is the team sorting at the barn which should be a lot of fun. Hopefully the weather isn't too bad so Dana can bring Velvet up for me to ride and Harley for her to ride. So it will be a full weekend and should be a lot of fun!
Well I should probably get to the barn and get my horses rode for the day!
I'm attaching pictures of Diva from yesterday. I walked her on Dana's steps (mounting steps), we were practicing for future cowboy races! Or maybe just practicing for when I bring her in the house!!
Until next time!!

Sunday night

Another end to a long week,..or isn't Sunday actually the beginning of the week? Anyhow, feels like another busy week has wrapped up. It was nice to get some other things done today besides go to the barn! Had a long day at the Armstrong's sale yesterday, but it was well worth it. The mare I took sold very well! Gary was very happy with the way we ended up there. Didn't bring anything home like I had hoped. Need to fill some orders on trail horses! Just wasn't anything there that I felt would work for any of my customers.
I finally got all my Christmas decorations up. I just have not been in the Christmas mood this year. I guess it has just snuck up on me...This whole year has just whizzed by, I cannot believe it is December and soon it will be the beginning of a new year. I will be sad to see 2009 go, all in all it has been a great year. Good friends and good business have made this past year AWESOME! I guess that is why it has gone so fast!
On another note, I'm not liking this cold weather...I guess the warm November we had really spoiled me!! I just don't know if I can get used to the cold this year!!
Dana sent me an email tonight that she put Diva's new blanket on her for the first time. (If you don't know, Diva is my weanling APHA filly that Dana keeps at her house for me) She said she was awesome when she put it on, just slipped it right over her head, buckled the straps with not problem at all. Little Diva Girl didn't even run around at all! I swear she is part dog! I'm afraid if I kept her here at my house she would be in the living room sleeping on the couch with the other 3 dogs!! I'm going to go to Dana's Tuesday afternoon to see my little girl. I haven't been over for quite awhile. I think Dana and I are going to have a day out. We haven't got a chance to "play" for many weeks so we are overdue!
Well the only other plans for this week are to get videos made on the nice bay mare and the paint mare (Maggie and Molly). Will hopefully have them done by Wednesday.
Hope everyone stays warm!! Layer, layer, layer!! That is the only way I make it through working horses!!
Until next post.......

I'm TIRED!!

Ok, I got 5 new horses in the last 2 days to ride, plus a few others and man oh man am I tired tonight after getting everyone worked today!! Not only do I have over 5 horses to ride, but they are all GREEN and I am out of shape!! Other than that, I'm loving ever minute!! Gary brought a few really nice horses in this week that I'm very excited about. One is a 3 year old filly by Potential Investment and out of a Zippos Mr Good Bar mare!! She is awesome, I could ride her all day long! The other one he brought is a really attractive paint filly who was 4th at the Pinto world as a yearling! She is very green but very willing and good to be around. Brought Moolah into the barn today to start her training. She was purchased by a lady in Wisconsin and she is keeping her with me for 3 more months to get her finished. Also riding another little mare that I am taking to Armstrong's sale this Saturday. Not sure how prices will be but might as well take one and find out! "Dunny" a bucksin gelding came in from Colorado this week. I got his feet trimmed tonight and will start riding him hard tomorrow. The last few weeks have been a total whirlwind! I have been selling horses left and right and talking with people from all over the country! Yesterday I took my State Board massage test so I had been studying for that like crazy. I think I did really good which is a huge weight off my shoulders but I won't get the results back for like 2 months or so!!
Tomorrow I'm going to try to get this house cleaned and start putting Christmas stuff up. Zach is begging me to have it all up by Saturday so I guess I better get that done before I go to the barn tomorrow!!
Check out the new horses added to the website. I added a whole new page for roping horses. Check out Rhinestone and Chuckie!! I made their videos on Sunday and I think they turned out pretty well!
Well I'm going to head to bed and rest up for another big day tomorrow!
Until next time....

WHAT A CRAZY DAY

Well I had several people lined up to look at horses. Showed Jake to people at 10:00. They came all the way from NY and they LOVED him. He is perfect for them and just what they have been looking for. They left a deposit and will be back to get him probably Tuesday. People came to look at Dove and they liked her and are to get back to me. They I had to go to Zach's Aunt's house for Thanksgiving dinner and after that we went to my parent's for my mom's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!
Had to call the other person who wanted to look at Jake and tell them he sold. Had to call Leslie and tell her I sold her 2nd horse this week, just listed her 2 geldings last Saturday and sold them both in a week!! She is happy, but I think kinda dumbfounded that I got them sold so fast!
Tonight I got home and a lady called about Moolah that I had talked to a few days ago from Wisconsin. She is sending me a check to buy her AND keeping her in training for a couple months to get her finished before making the big trip to Wisconsin!! WHAT A DAY!!! I also got Gary's black mare and foal sold this weekend, and MAYBE the other weanling colt "Dunny"
These horses are selling like hotcakes which is AWESOME!! I just can't get enough!!
Got a call from Ted Pierce in Colorado yesterday and we are going to work together on selling some horses!! How EXCITING!! I'm really looking forward to working with him!
What a week!!!
Well I'm heading for bed! Have a busy week ahead

Jellybean is sold

Well Jellybean found a new home today. Wish I had about 20 or more of him to sell. Those been there done that kind geldings just sell themselves! The 2 I've sold in the past weeks I've only had for sale for a few days! I didn't even have to advertise Wally and I wouldn't really have even had to advertise Jellybean because he ended up selling to someone I already knew! I'm so happy for the new family who got Jellybean. Maggie is going to kick some butt with him. I'm attaching some pictures from tonight after they bought him I was teaching her some of his showmanship buttons.
I took the cutest video of Cooper riding Dove, a mare I'm going to be advertising for sale. It is uploading to youtube as I type!
It is turning out to be a busy weekend. Tomorrow I'm going to ride a few horses that need put on the website. Saturday I have to work in the morning and then someone is coming to look at Velvet in the afternoon. Sunday I have several people lined up to look at horses! I have a feeling with Thanksgiving the rest of the week will be pretty busy also!
Well that's all for now!

I should be in bed

Well I felt pretty crappy today so I really didn't do anything other than answer the phone and emails about horses! Had a headache all day and was just achy all over! YUCK
Anyway, I got the pictures and videos of the Johnson's geldings on Friday. Here is the link to a page dedicated to them on my website:
www.perfecthorse4u.com/geldings
You can see their pictures and view their videos. These guys are pretty nice for the price! Already had lots of calls on them and it is looking like next weekend I will be very busy showing horses to prospective buyers!
Other horses I added this week include Expresso Jet and Little Richard. They are both listed on the for sale pages of my site where you can view pictures and videos of each. So far I think I might have people fighting over Little Richard before the end of the week!
I also went to Gary's Friday after leaving the Johnson's and got pictures of the coming 2 year old blue roan gelding. While I was there I saddled him for the first time and he was really good. I think I'm really going to like him. I'm going to plan on getting him started after the first of the year along with his sister.
I went to Dana's yesterday and rode Velvet,...made some more video of her. Here are the links to her 2 new videos:
Catching, Grooming and Saddling
Arena Work and Trail Stuff
J-Lo's new owner came and picked her up last evening. Good luck with her Lynall,...can't wait to see what you guys do together!! Boy I hated to see that filly go, of course the last week I had her she grew like CRAZY and just kept getting nicer and nicer, but I just can't keep them all and waiting on one to grow up to be ready to ride just isn't my thing!
I'm not sure what I'm going to get into tomorrow. I think I'm going to head over to Dana's and do something. Might go to Grizzle Ridge and see Mark since I haven't gotten to talk to him since the Congress. Or we might go ride somewhere since the weather is to be nice. Who knows what the day will bring!
Well I really should go to bed now. I think I've reached the end of the internet! LOL~

Updating the website

Well I just spent hours updating the website...it is never ending. I always find something I don't like about it, or have an idea of something I want to add, or need to add a horse for sale...and it is not an easy task!
Well life has been crazy, still taking care of 2 crippled parents! I have also been getting tons of emails and calls about horses for sale. It is that time of year, but I do love that part.
The day after dad fell, a lady came to see J-Lo. Dana had to show her to them because I had to stay with mom and dad. Well she ended up buying her and is coming this Saturday to pick her up. I hate to see her go, she is growing and looking better and better all the time. She is really going to be something!
Yesterday I went on a trail ride at Bark Camp with Dana, Gail, Gloria, and Jennifer. We went around for about 3 hours. It was a great day to ride and all the horses did awesome. I rode Velvet and I couldn't have asked for a better ride. I will really hate to see her go also, but they all have a price!
I finally found a saddle to buy and I went and picked it up today. (Thank you to J-Lo for paying for that!) J-Lo doesn't know it but her money is also buying a blanket for Diva for the winter!! LOL! The saddle I bought is a Billy Cook trainer. It is just what I wanted, since I loved my Billy Cook reiner, but it was too slick with the slick seat I just couldn't ride anything that was green and jumpy! This one has the same tree and all but is roughout. Tomorrow morning I'm going to take pictures and videos at the barn of a paint mare we have and a pony so I'm hoping to get to ride in the new saddle!
Also finally got Abby's mare listed for sale this week. Check out her page http://www.perfecthorse4u.com/moolah
I'm going to Smithfield on Friday to take pictures and videos of 2 geldings for sale out there. They are seasoned show horses. Also going to stop at Gary's on Friday and take pictures of the 2 year old roan gelding. Need to get him listed for sale, if he doesn't sell I will start him after the first of the year.
Well that's all for now, although I'm sure I forgot a lot!!

Sunday

Well it is Sunday night. It's been a long weekend. Friday afternoon, my dad fell off a ladder in his garage while putting car parts in the loft. He couldn't walk, had to crawl to the house cause no one was home. My mom came home and my aunt and uncle had to take him to the ER. I came over and drove mom and my sister to the hospital. Spent 6 hours in the ER Friday night. Finally got out of there at 11. Turns out he fractured his pelvis in 2 places and had to have stitches in his finger. He can't put any weight on his right leg, not much they could do but send him home with crutches and pain meds and told him to rest and stay off of it. He is to go to the Dr tomorrow. So now I'm stuck with both parents who don't have a good right leg between them considering mom just had her knee surgery 5 weeks ago. I stayed at mom and dad's Friday night, had to help dad get up to go to the bathroom. Pain meds wore off and he was in a lot of pain. He is doing better now, as long as we keep up with the meds and don't let them wear off. I spent all day Saturday making food to take to the Halloween party at my cousin's and taking care of mom and dad. Had a girl come look at J-Lo and Dana had to show her to the girl. She put a deposit on her and will be back to pick her up in 2 weeks. So now Diva will be by herself.

I put on my costume for Halloween at my cousin's, I dressed up as "mom's worst nightmare" I had my sister put temporary tattoos all over my neck and I had tattoo sleeves on under my shirt and I had tons of black makeup on with long eyelashes and tattoos on my face and jewels to look like a nose ring and lip ring. Also put some black spray in the front of my hair. I'll attach a picture. My sister Julie and niece Bailey came over. My niece was a dead cheerleader and Julie was a geisha girl. We had fun at the party. After that I stopped at Mike and Dawn's because Dawn had sent me a message saying they were having a Halloween party. It was nice to go talk with them but I didn't stay too long. Zach called after his game, which they lost, and I got him some food and went home.

Today I've been at mom and dad's helping them all day. It is boring here, mom and I resorted to playing a couple games of rummy!

Also I went to the dr last monday and she said everything was fine and normal on my test results, which is really not what I expected but it is good news. She just said check up in 3 months so I guess I'm all clear!

I think tomorrow I'm going to Windy Hill to ride in a couple saddles they have for sale. I don't really have any other big plans for the week. Need to get Abby's mare videoed and get pictures if the weather will cooperate.

Thats all for now!

10/26/09

Well it's Monday! Saturday we had our last cowboy race for the year. Expected a lot more people than what we had but again the weather was crappy so who knows. We ended up with 13 riders. I thought the course we had was AWESOME and everyone said they had a great time and it was their favorite course yet. We had our overall awards this time and Matt Oswald was our overall Champion and Joe Raber was the Reserve Champion. I will be putting pictures of the winners up on the website in the next few days. We are going to pick a date for a cowboy race in the Spring and we will see how it goes and go from there as far as future dates. Holmes Co fair is throwing around the idea of having us put one on at their fair also!
Sunday Dana and I were going to go to the Congress but decided not to. I decided I had to get out of the house (or be subject to a full day of NFL football and a husband screaming at the TV!) so I headed to Dana's to play with the fillies. Dana and I took J-Lo and Diva up to the main barn and then into the arena. We saddled up Harley and Rocky and gave the girls their first lesson in ponying! They both did very well and we even took them down to the hay field to let them have a BIG ADVENTURE! I have to say Harley and Rocky did very well also. We then put the girls back in their field and headed on a ride. Dana took me on a road that goes kinda acrossed the hill from their property, she calls this road "seldom seen". So out we go on a beautiful day on our ride. We get half way back on this road and we decide to ride up a lane that goes to a house that is in the middle of being built. We heard a truck rev and the what sounded like a car door slam but nothing major. When we came back down off the hill, there was an upsidedown truck in the road that had not been there when we first went up. I was so afraid of what we might find there, but no one was around. We rode down the road to the closest house, thinking that if whoever had been in the truck got out they would stumble to the house. No one around. Called Ray and told him to come out. Then a guy in a white car came and said it was his truck and the guy had called him, but the whole thing was really strange, he wasn't really making sense, basically trying to cover something up. As the story goes the guy who wrecked the truck had points on his license and got out and ran to hide. So we rode away and headed home, nothing else we could do. When we got back out to the the other end of the road, I looked back and saw a guy walking...told Dana and she said, ok let's go back and see who it is. Well we walked right to him with the horses and he just kept walking, was on his phone and acted like we weren't even there! Dana put Rocky's nose right on his back and followed him up the road, still he ignored us! Then Dana spoke up and started asking him questions, he acted like he knew nothing about the accident blah blah blah,...he had grass, leaves and burrs all over the back of him,...obviously he had run through the woods!! I took a pic of him on my phone while Dana was questioning him!! LOL Dana thought that was funny! ANYWAY that was my excitement yesterday!!
Have to go to the Dr and get my test results today at 2. I guess I better go get ready for that.
Tomorrow I'm going to go get pics and video of Moolah at Abby's house so I can get her put on the internet.
Well that is all for now...hope that wasn't too hard to understand!!

IM BAAAAAAAAACK!!

Ok so it's been a little while since I posted. Been pretty busy the past 2 weeks. Last week I had my first roping lesson with Kevin and Mark....AWESOME!! This is something I have always wanted to do and I'm so happy it is finally happening! It couldn't have been more perfect! Dana and I took Velvet and Harley over to ride with them at Grizzle Ridge. I rode Velvet and roped the sled off her for awhile and she was giving me some trouble so Mark let me ride his grey gelding who I am now in love with and I did SO MUCH BETTER!! It was so much fun!! Monday Dana, Ray, Brooke and I went to the Congress. HOW DISAPPOINTING! Every store had the same thing, there was NOTHING I just HAD TO HAVE and I even had money to spend!!! Looked for a saddle, couldn't find anything, except a Martin roper which was $4100, a bit outta my price range!! Came home from the Congress very disappointed. Did get to watch the Sr Western Pleasure and picked the top 3 horses!! Boy do I have an eye or what!! LOL!
Yesterday Kevin met me at Gary's to pick up the sorrel gelding "Wally" for a customer of his to try. I then followed him to Grizzle Ridge and I rode Wally for him and the customer....took the bridle off, he was such a good boy, I think they will probably buy him but I left him for them to try for a few days. After riding Wally I rode Mark's 2 horses because he wasn't up to riding. Got to rope on both of them and again HAD TONS OF FUN! I'm so hooked!! I did much better than last week, much improvement! Then Dana and I ate in Barnsville and went to her house for awhile. Got to see my girls and that little Diva is growing finally!!
Well that is all for now!

Lazy Sunday

Didn't do much today. Watched football with Zach,...of course the darn Browns lost, big surprise. Zach mowed the lawn and I cleaned off the porch and put up Halloween decorations.
Going to Dana's tomorrow and we are going to trail ride at Bark Camp. I'm so excited, I haven't been doing much riding lately and it is supposed to be a nice day...plus it is FALL!
I think I'm going to try to take a little more video of Velvet tomorrow at Dana's.
Also going to look at a 2 year old colt this week. Saw an old friend the other day who has one to sell and he might be just the project I've been looking for!
Will let ya'll know how that goes!!

Velvet is for sale!

Well it's official! Here is Velvet's sale ad: Ole Velvet Cream Pie - Click HERE!!!
Got it done late last night and almost cried when I got it done and watched the video. This is such a nice filly that has a bright bright future ahead of her. Will have to find a replacement if she sells!!
Mom is getting out of the hospital today so I'll probably be at her house this afternoon. Zach has a football game tonight buy I probably won't go because of the rain.
That's all for now!

October 1st

Well yesterday I went to see mom at Aultman Hospital. Got there around 11:30. She was doing pretty good, sitting up and eating lunch. She had eaten her breakfast and kept everything down so far. She said things were crazy that night before, she was on morphine and was yelling out and I guess it was pretty crazy! They took her off the morphine and just put her on some pain killer pills. She thinks she is coming home tomorrow so we shall see.

After I left the hospital I headed to Belmont Co to see Dana and my fillies. On the way I talked to a good friend and client who bought a horse for her daughter from me and have come to lessons with me in Barnsville. Lori told me that Jenessa did awesome at their fair, coming home with 7 first place ribbons! YAY!!!
I got to Dana's around 2:30 and of course we sat and had a discussion about horses and the cowboy race and brainstormed on things to do for the next one. We can talk about horses and the time just flies by! Ray came home and we ate supper then went to the barn to feed. Got to see Velvet who is loving being at home and out of her training program. She is getting along with Harley and Rocky well. Then we went out to feed my girls, Diva and J-Lo. Of course they were at the gate waiting on us! They are the prettiest sight out in that field at Dana's. They followed us to the barn and ate while Dana and I watched all the mommas and babies in the next field. When the girls were done we dewormed them both and then lead them around the pasture and worked with them a little. J-Lo is so big and beautiful, that girl is THICK. Diva is certainly looking better every time I see her. That poor girl had such a rough start, I can't wait till she catches up.
We then went back to the main barn and let to other horses out for the night. Dana had picked up the cowboy race scores when she stopped at the barn the other day so her and I laid it all out on the table and made a list of scores from the last 2 races so that we can figure up overall points after this last race and see who the top 5 overall is.
I stayed there talking to Dana until midnight! Had to stop in Cambridge at the Walmart to get laundry detergent on the way home so I ended up just getting some groceries also....if you ever need a good laugh just go to Cambridge Walmart at 2 AM!!! Some of the people I saw,....WOW!
So anyway I slept in today since I got home so late. Gary called and said he got the gelding shod so will go make a video of him tomorrow.
Oh and I talked to Wayne about the next cowboy race and approved that we will be doing a HALLOWEEN THEME!!! YAY!! So today I'm going to the dollar store to start buying stuff!!
Thats all for now!!

What to do...

Had a low key day. Listed my black and white filly on equine.com for sale. View her ad here:

Did some updating on the web page and listed a few other horses for sale.
Mom is doing fairly well. She has been a little sick from the pain meds but is handling everything well.

Tomorrow I think I am going to get up early and head to the hospital to visit mom and then head south to Belmont to visit Dana and see my fillies. I haven't seen them for a few weeks so I'm excited to see how they are growing. I think we will have our first lesson in ponying tomorrow! Dana and I spoke today about what days we want to visit the Congress.
This year has gone by so fast I can't believe it is Congress time already,...soon it will be Christmas!

My First Blog

Well this is my first blog! I created this to keep people informed on what is going on with Perfect Horse 4 U and at Lonesome Hollow Stables.
Saturday we had our 2nd cowboy race and all went well. Other than breaking for some rain it was a success. It sounds like the October 24th race will be really big. Casey Pierce and her group are planning to come down along with many other competitors who have wanted to come but have had other commitments. We are possibly planning a hog roast for Friday night before the race. We also plan to make this course the best one yet! So put on your BIG COWBOY BOOTS and join in!
On a personal level, my mom had a total knee replacement today. Everything went well and she seems to be recovering well. We will see how tomorrow goes. I'm hoping this gives her a better outlook and new lease on life.
Well I'm hoping to keep this thing updated!
