First off let me apologize to you all for not updating for so long! I know there are those of you out there who read this and want to know what is going on! Well you can bet there is a lot going on (which is why I have had no time to update!!)
My theme for the week is...when it rains, it pours! I say this ever spring I think. My phone has been ringing off the hook and I darn near have Skeeter Hollow bursting at the seams with horses! I'm so loving the fact that every day I get to talk to and work with horse people from all over the country. Just in the past few weeks we have shipped horses to Texas, New York, Penn, and Illinois! I currently have 9 horses to ride, some are training horses and some are sale horses. This weekend will be busy making videos of new horses for sale.
Last week we had a great week, selling 6 horses! I am hoping to have all the new sale horses listed by the first of next week! With this recent nice weather I'm so excited to start making outdoor videos! The outdoor arena has been in excellent condition and it has been so nice to get to ride in the sunshine!!! Forgive me mother nature for cursing you all those snowy days!
On top of the great business at Perfect Horse 4 U, my new massage job is going awesome! I just love the people and the Dr I work for. It is the perfect place for me to be and they are so flexible with my horse schedule!
I would really like to thank all my loyal horse customers for sticking with me for 2010, and I am so happy to welcome the many new customers that this year has brought! It looks to be another fun year of horse shows!
I'm currently trying to figure out dates of shows and what is going on when, but right now I never know what I'm doing tomorrow, let alone in a few months! I do know we are planning to attend all Ohio Foundation Quarter Horse shows as I have several customers interested in showing at those. Beyond that, I'm just waiting for showbills in the mail to pencil in the rest.
This Sunday, March 21st at 1:00 is a Ranch Sorting at Skeeter Hollow. With the nicer weather we are expecting a big crowd.
I promise to update the blog again next week with a current list of all sale horses, including pictures and videos. I might as well do something constructive on these nights when I can't sleep!
Until then, everyone get out there and brush the mud off those ponies and ride!!

Be My Valentine
Well it's Sunday night and I'm trying to get caught up on my computer work. The website needed an update which I got done, added a few horses and listed some sold!!
Boy this weather sure has put a damper on everything around here! I have several people interested in horses, just waiting on the weather to clear up to make the trip here, who knows when that will be!
Zach was off of school most of last week and other than working at the office doing massages, I didn't get much else done. It was hard enough getting out the driveway much less getting to the barn! Did I express how angry I am with the weather? We were supposed to leave for the shoot in Florida on Wednesday but again the weather screwed up those plans! The snow hit all along the east coast so it was just too dangerous to try to make the trip. We are planning for a shoot in Indiana the end of Feb. I can't wait for Spring,....have I mentioned that before??? I read somewhere today where 49 of the 50 stes had snow on the ground, the only one that didn't was Hawaii - I'm contemplating a one way ticket to Hawaii.
Anyway, I got caught up on a lot today. Got horses rode and pictures taken. I'll attach pictures of the newest horse for sale listed at Perfect Horse 4 U. His name is Bonanzas Mister Twister or "Mister" for short. He is a 3 year old APHA gelding and more info can be seen at Perfect Horse 4 U on the Show Horses 4 Sale page.
Waited on the shipper to call and pick up Mo this week. He was supposed to leave for Texas and Kim was very anxious for him to get there but unfortunately the weather has held up the shipping so it is looking like he will be picked up next week.
I need to get some videos made of a few horses this week so hopefully everything goes smooth!
Don't forget the cattle sorting next Sunday at Skeeter Hollow,...hopefully the snow holds off and everyone can get their trailers out!!
Well better get back to work!
Stay warm everyone!

It's Feb! WOW
Well here it is February already! Time flies when you're having fun!
It was ANOTHER BUSY WEEK for Perfect Horse 4 U. 5 horses were sold this past week! Perfect matches just keep happening and I couldn't be happier!! If you haven't looked at the website the last few days (where have you been?) well you wouldn't know that Featured Horse for Sale, Ole Velvet Cream Pie sold this past weekend! Ronnie Hutchison came up from Florida on the last day she was to be offered for sale before taking her off the market for the Equine Affair. He came with money in hand and a trailer and took Velvet back home with him to Kentucky! It was bittersweet as you all know this was a special filly who has been a 2 year process, but in the end she found a great home and turned out to be an awesome horse. Ronnie was all smiles when trying her out, and it was great to hear him say over and over, "You did such a good job with her" What a great feeling!
Another horse that sold this week was Jay Puzacke's rope gelding "Chuckie" A family came from PA to try him and came back to buy him. What a cool horse, they are so lucky to have this guy. They were very impressed with Chuckie's youtube video and said over and over how well put together it was so that made me feel great!
Other horses sold the past week include, Mo Money In the Bank. Mo is heading to TX the end of this week! Boy I wish I was going with him!! I'm sure Kim will be so happy to meet him in person when he gets there!
The other horses sold this week include Tami's mare "Cool" or Pleasing Reflection. She is going to be started on barrels by a young girl and I think they will be awesome together!
I'm awaiting a check for my little filly Diva to arrive but I'm fairly certain she is sold also. I talked with a nice lady on the phone about her and she sounds like the perfect fit.
So now I have more people coming this week to look at horses, on top of the fact that I started a new massage job today!! All went well and I am now massaging at Twin City Chiropractic on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I feel like this is a great fit!
Tomorrow I am getting tons of tack to list on the page for sale, giving a lesson and then heading to Mountaineer with Dawn to pick up a TB gelding. I will be working Thursday and then Friday getting a horse ready to go to Armstrong's sale on Saturday.
OTHER EXCITING NEWS!! I entered the Atlantic Coast Classic shoot in Florida and leave with Mike and Dawn next Wed!! I'm so excited to shoot again, I missed it so much last year. I have been riding Zip and brining him back from his injuries he had the past 2 years. He is riding great and feels ready to run! I'm going to Florida to win!! I took the money I was going to use to enter Velvet in the Equine Affair and used it to enter this shoot so I'm so excited to go!!
Jacksonville, here I come!!!
Well I should get to bed, it's been a long day!
Thank you to everyone for your great support! I couldn't do it without you!

What a week

Wow it has been a crazy week! I listed quite a few new horses so it was a week full of making videos and taking pictures. Anyone who thinks this is an easy job should just come with me to take horse pictures some day!!!
Please check out the new horses added to the site which include:
Show Horses 4 Sale:
Just A Shot of Tikila
Cruzn The Scenic Rout
Mo Money In The Bank
No Seatbelt Required
Trail Horses 4 Sale:
Pleasing Reflection
"Blackie"
Prospects 4 Sale:
More Or Less ACowboy
Don't U Juana Zip "Diva"
Heza Classic Pistol
There is quite a variety on the site now and I just keep getting more calls so look for more to be added soon. "Maggie" was picked up today by her new owner, Kim. I hated to see that filly go!
Today we had a ranch sorting at the barn and it was a lot of fun. Had a decent turn out despite the rainy day. I'm attaching a few pictures I took at the sorting today.
I am also now building a site for Skeeter Hollow which I just started today. It is just a "shell" right now, will be adding a lot more info soon but you can check it out at www.skeeterhollow.com
Tomorrow starts a new week and it looks to be booking full also. Got a new horse in to ride today so I will start on him tomorrow. Also going to start riding one of Dawn's shooting horses in hopes to get him ready for a shoot in Florida in Feb. Hopefully I will be back to shooting again and I can't wait! I missed it so much last year!
I have some folks from KY very interested in Velvet so they are planning a trip up here the end of the week. The plan is that they either take her Saturday or if they don't she is off the market until after the Equine Affair cowboy race. Either way is fine with me!!
Also this week I have to get all my things together to start the new job at Twin City Chiropractic. My first day is Feb 2nd. Yet another venture to keep me crazy,,...I mean BUSY!!!
Well I'm off to the land of Jillian's 30 day shred, which I have neglected to do the past few days!!
Off to feel the burn! LOL

I love 2010!!
WoW!! It is only Jan 14th and I already love the way this year is going!! Today was a GREAT day! First off last night the application stuff for Craig Cameron's Extreme Cowboy Race at the Equine Affair was posted. I have been waiting for this for months! Of course it just makes me THAT much MORE nervous about the whole thing! Dana and I have been buzzing about this all day. I put my application video together today which can be viewed by CLICKING HERE!!
I have to get Wayne and Andy's videos done also and get the applications printed off and sent in.
Also today I got some AWESOME NEWS!!!
I AM NOW OFFICIALLY A LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST!!!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!
I'm so excited all that school work and studying is OVER!! That is a huge weight off my shoulders!
SPEAKING OF WEIGHT. the diet is going fairly well, better than I thought. In the past I have stayed on the wagon for a few days and then fizzled out. Today is a week and I have lost about 6 pounds! I'm eating pretty well but not totally forbidding myself from things, just eating less and trying to stay under 1200 calories. Also trying to do the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred every day. I did miss 2 days but tonight was the 4th day I did it and I can really notice a difference on the scale on days where I do the workout vs days I don't. I'm doing fairly well on the workout other than I have discovered that I have a bad knee which I had no idea and it is kind of worrying me! I ordered some Cetyl-M today and started drinking my Mona Vie again so hopefully that will help.
Have someone coming to look at Molly the paint mare tomorrow and also have a lady from up north bringing 3 paint horses for me to sell. Look for updates on the website tomorrow night.
My mom and mother in law are taking me to the Japanese Steakhouse "Wasabi" next Wed to celebrate me passing my state board test. Zach and Cathy Cummings are coming along and I'm supposed to invite a few other people.
Saturday I'm heading to Grizzle Ridge with Dana for a barrel show and I need to take some pictures of Mark's grey gelding and his cutting horse.
Well Guess I should head to bed, need to get up early in the morning to head to the barn. Will have a busy day!

Snow Day
Well it is Friday and after all the snow we got yesterday and last night it was pretty much a stay at home kinda day and Zach had a snow day so he was home with me.
First off, last night I actually went to bed early, BUT woke up at 2 AM, wide awake!! At around 2:30 I got an email on my phone from Dana,...unfortunately her mother passed late last night/early this morning. Please everyone keep Dana, Ray and the rest of the Ramsey's in their prayers. After that I was up for quite awhile before falling back to sleep.
Well today is day 3 of the diet/workout plan. It is going well. Yesterday I was sore from the workout the day before! I went to walmart yesterday and got Jillian's 30 Day Shred and also picked up the Blast Fat, Boost Metabolism one.
I have been eating under 1200 calories a day which is actually going well. Today I ate a good breakfast and then since Zach was home I made his favorite meal, Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo...I thought this would be a big problem for me because that isn't exactly what anyone would call a DIET meal!! But I figured out the calories of everything and measured my portions and it didn't end up being so bad and I was good and full after the meal.
My aunt called me after lunch and wanted a massage so I took my table and everything over to grandma's house and my aunt came over for a massage, well that turned into my mom, my cousin and my grandma all getting a massage!
I got back here around 5:30 and fixed grilled cheese and chicken noodle soup for Zach and I. Then it was Jillian time!! I did my first day of the 30 day shred. Boy it kicked my butt, although it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be an I made it through the whole level 1 workout! I never knew how bad my knees were and that was the only thing that really hurt. If anyone is looking to start a workout I would highly recommend this one! It is a 20 minuted cardio and strength combination workout with warmup and cooldown included! I sure worked up a sweat!! Zach and I watched a movie and then he went to bed. I was feeling like I needed more exercise and still had it in me so I decided to try out the Blast Fat, Boost Metabolism DVD...it is 45 minutes of intense cardio. Obviously I need some punishment or something!! Let me tell you this killed me!! I made it through 2 circuits and pushed myself pretty hard but boy oh boy was my heart racing. I had to stop cause I was getting dizzy, I think my heart was racing too much!! But I feel really good about what I got done, probably did an hour total of exercise today.
I'm sure I'll pay for it tomorrow but it is worth it! This fat girl is going to get in shape!! I also bought a scale when I was at Walmart and judging by my weight this morning I have already lost 2 pounds!! Can't wait to get rid of this flab!!
Well need to get in bed, have a busy day tomorrow.

A New Year, A New Me!
Ok well, I'm going public with this in hopes that it will be yet another motivation to keep me going!
Today I started a weight loss program! I'm tired of the way I look and feel and have been for awhile but haven't had the real drive to do anything about it until now. After watching myself in all these videos lately and seeing how my weight is affecting my riding and also seeing how bad I looked in Christmas pictures I have decided enough is enough and it is not going to get any better unless I take the initiative! Also I'm really getting excited to enter Velvet in Craig Cameron's Extreme Cowboy Race at the Equine Affair. Info is to be up next week about applications and I already have my video application ready to send! Usually there is a part in Craig's races where you have to get on and ride bareback and the getting on part just isn't happening with my rather large booty!
Here is the plan:
Eat 1500 calories or less
Work out at least 30 minutes a day (on top of riding)
Drink lots of water
Don't eat after 6:30 PM
Today was day 1 and I ate about 1300 calories and did about an hour and a half of exercise.
I have been doing some research and I have decided tomorrow I'm going to Walmart to buy Jillian Micheal's 30 Day Shred. I watched a bunch of youtube videos of people who had done it and it looks like it is the right thing for me to start out with. I will also be purchasing a scale (yes, it's true, I don't own a scale!) and I'm going to get an exercise mat and some hand weights. I might also get another video that Jillian has out called Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism. It is supposed to be a kick ass cardio video.
My goal is to lose around 30 pounds by the first of April which is when the Equine Affair is. I know it is kinda a steep goal but I'm hoping if I really stick to the plan it will work!
I feel awesome today since doing the workouts! The last few days I have felt like crap and been achy all over,...I think I just needed to get some blood pumping through this body of mine!! There is no reason for me to feel as crappy as I do all the time, and losing this weight can only help!!
So wish me luck and keep me motivated!
I'll try to blog every few days and let yall know how it is going and how much I have lost!
Here's to getting in shape!!

BRRRR It's COLD out there!!

Well I guess we are now getting paid back for that nice November we had! Glad I got stocked up on long underwear for Christmas!! It is cold as can be and it doesn't look like it is going to get warm anytime soon.
Yesterday was a good day. Dana, Ray and I went to Zanesville for a tack sale. Of course I bought more than I needed, but I couldn't pass up a good deal especially with my bit collection problem, which has also turned into a headstall collection problem! One of these days you will all see me on one of those HOARDERS shows, but it won't be in my house, it will be in a tack room!!
Today I was going to go to the sale at Wooster but it was just too cold. Someone said there were only 15 horses there and prices were really low.
I have several people coming to look at horses this coming week so it should be a busy week again. I'm going to try to get over to Grizzle Ridge and get Mark's cutting horse videoed and take pictures so I can get him listed.
Had a nice lady come from Detroit on Thursday and she bought Ed's yearling filly "Char" so she will be going to Illinois. Also got more pictures taken of the nice gelding that I have listed for Ed.
Check out the new horses listed this past week! All can be viewed at www.perfecthorse4u.com on the Show Horses 4 Sale page.

I will also be listing a few others in the next couple days, just need to get a few little details on them before I put ads on for them.
Well I hope everyone is staying warm! I guess the best thing is to just stay busy!!
